Pheonix - Flying Sub
The USS Nautilus was the Navy's first nuclear powered submarine.
I did not want to see its days of exploring end when it was decommissioned in 1980. In 1982 it was designated a National Historic Landmark and is still with us, a bridge in time.I had my own thoughts about what else might have become of this magnificent vessel.
Maybe, with a little modification, it could go back into service as a space craft.
The technology would is a bit unusual, maybe eccentric,
a dry dock made of tied timber and a lot of mystical expertise.
Add some coral reef and a new propulsion system.It is ready to fly!
