The Mandala as a temple. |

The wheel is a perfect shape. As an uninterrupted cycle, it is a symbol for infinity. The basic layout of a Mandala is concentric, a series of wheels within wheels. This Mandala takes the form of an ancient temple wall. Here the central figure floats in a metaphysical sky within a relatively modern apse. Everything is present as opposing pairs. Even the creator has two states of being; below, a corporal deity, above, a cosmic awareness.
